Record Store Day Black Friday is back!

Black Friday RSD25 releases will be available from Vinyl Guru on Friday 28th November 2025 from 8:00 AM for in-person local payment on purchase. Any remaining, unsold RSD releases will also be available for general sale online from Saturday 29th November 2025 from 8:00 AM GMT.

As for previous RSD events, the RSD code of conduct requires that all RSD releases must be limited to one copy per release per customer and that all RSD releases must be sold on a first-come-first-served basis.

What is Record Store Day Black Friday?

Record Store Day Black Friday is a global, annual event organised in the UK by ERA (the Entertainment Retailers Association), featuring over 200 officially approved independent UK record shops and a variety of UK record labels and music companies.

Special and often highly limited vinyl records are for sale exclusively on the day and many shops and cities also host musical performances and other celebratory events to mark the occasion.

What will be released on Record Store Day Black Friday?

A full list of Black Friday RSD releases is available at recordstoreday.co.uk

Printed versions of the list will be available in Vinyl Guru on request.

We highly recommend that you complete and submit a Vinyl Guru Black Friday RSD request google form using the link at the top of this page to request RSD Black Friday releases from us (if you have already done this you do not need to submit another form).

When is Record Store Day Black Friday?

This year’s Black Friday will be Friday 28th November 2025.

We will open early at 8:00 AM to deal exclusively with RSD Black Friday purchases. We expect to be extremely busy during this time and advise arriving as early as possible for the best chance to secure your order - in previous years queues have started as early as 4:00 AM!

As usual, from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM the rest of the shop will be opened for all other purchases and to browse our thousands of new and second hand records.

How will I request RSD Black Friday releases?

At Vinyl Guru, we ask customers to mark their RSD Black Friday requests on our printed RSD Black Friday request lists. This allows us to deal with RSD Black Friday purchases as quickly and efficiently as possible, and minimises queues.

Our printed RSD Black Friday request lists are updated regularly throughout the day as releases sell out, and a member of staff with instant access to our real-time online RSD stock list will be dedicated to keeping queueing customers informed of which releases are still available from us and which have sold out.

If we do sell out of the RSD Black Friday release you were looking for, don't worry, we often are able to get more stock the following week.

Can I pre-order/reserve RSD Black Friday releases?

No, due to the RSD code of conduct, RSD releases are restricted from pre-orders/reservations and must be sold on a first-come-first-served basis on Record Store Day.

HOWEVER, please do let us know which releases you are looking to purchase and we will try to make sure we order enough stock for everyone, as with hundreds of RSD Black Friday releases it is almost impossible for one shop to carry every title!

We highly recommend that you complete and submit a Vinyl Guru RSD request google form using the link at the top of this page to request RSD releases from us (if you have already done this you do not need to submit another form).

Can I buy RSD Black Friday releases online?

Yes, but due to the RSD code of conduct, RSD releases are restricted to in-store sales only at first for a limited time.

Any remaining RSD Black Friday stock will be officially available to purchase online from official RSD shops from Saturday 29th November 2025 from 8:00 AM GMT

You may see RSD releases for sale online from unofficial sources at inflated prices before this date, but we strongly recommend waiting for official online sales for a better chance at paying original retail prices.
