Punk Art Prints by Mal-One

Artist Mal-One grew up in the same London neighbourhood as future Sex Pistols Steve Jones and Paul Cook. In fact his first introduction was Steve Jones stealing his bike at the age of 7 years.

The same area of Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush was also a hotbed for the forthcoming punk scene. Being immersedfrom an early age to the Punk scene has led to a great knowledge of this movement. having access to one of the biggest Punk collections has allowed him to draw on his body of work 'The Class Of 76' as a template for future reworkings.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Punk Rock movement 'Punk Art' have put together a mixed media exhibition of collages and prints called 'The Class Of 76', featuring the first wave of bands that created what we now recognise as the last great rebellion, where music and fashion youth culture collided for the first and last time.

The groups featured in the show are the instigators of this movement.  The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned, Siouxsie And The Banshees, The Buzzcocks, Generation X and The Stranglers. Artist Mal-One's work has been collated for the first time for this show which we are sure will be the highlight of the 40th anniversary celebrations.
